Covering Trouble Spots to Get Flawless Skin

We all know that I do not have flawless skin! I have been searching forever for a foundation that will cover my acne scars and the Dermablend Leg and Body Cover works great for me! The only problem with it is that it is very mattifying, drying, and it does not give a nice finish to the rest of your face! Also, I do not need a very heavy foundation all over my face, just on my cheeks (my trouble area). I have started using this foundation routine in order to get the coverage I need, but it also allows me to use different foundations for the rest of my face to achieve different coverages and finishes. I have really been loving the results.

First I apply a moisturizer to my face and let it dry for a couple of minutes. I either like the Cetaphil Moisturizer (thicker formulation) or the Neutragena Oil Free Moisture (lightweight and available for all different skin types). Then I apply a primer, either the Ulta Professional Color Corrector Primer (the green one) or the Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer (this is better for more oily skin). I think use my Beauty Blender Sponge from Ulta and apply my Dermablend Leg and Body Foundation (only in my problem areas).

Then I like to wait for it to set, so I apply my under eye concealer and eyelid primer. I have been using the Physicians Formula Gentle Cover in Yellow and I set it with the Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. For my eyelid primer I use the Tarte Lifted Eye Primer and MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre.

After the Dermablend is dry, I use my Sonia Kashuk (found at Target) Synthetic Flat Blush Buffer Brush. I love this for blending and buffing liquid foundation. I used the Revlon Color Stay Foundation (will review soon) in the color Medium Beige.  I apply the foundation all over my face and and I buff it into my skin with the brush! I love this foundation for its finish and staying power! I like the more dewy look it gives, so I like to set it very lightly with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Deep with my Sonia Kashuk Kabuki Brush.

Spring Nail Polish and 3 Essie Nail Polishes for only $11!

Probably one of my favorite deals I have come across! This works for Ulta only, and expires May 7th 2011. I have been really inspired and in love with Essie nail polishes recently. Although I am still an OPI fan, but Essie has beautiful bright and pastel colors. So, I got 3 Essie Nail polishes for only $11 (I made two trips to get the total of 6 nail polishes). I tried to pick colors that I thought were unique and beautiful for the summer time. I also managed to find dupes for three of them. Follow the steps on how to get a great deal!

1. Print out the $5 off Ulta Coupon by clicking here.
2. Go to your Ulta store (before or on May 7th, to ensure you get all the discounts) and pick out any three nailpolishes. I believe Essie, OPI, Ulta Professional, Orly and China Glaze are all Buy Two Get One Free at the moment.
3. Use your coupon at the register and get three nail polishes for only $11. (The total price my vary depending on what brand of nail polish you purchase).
4. Go home and treat yourself to a homemade mani or pedi and get ready for the summer!

Information about the colors I bought, and some dupes! from Ulta ($8 each)

Review on Tarte neutralEYES Palette

Hey Everyone!

I just posted a new video tonight. It is a review on the Tarte neutralEYES Palette. I bought mine online through tarte.com. I attempted to get it at Ulta, but they were sold out, and I actually spent less money buying it online (and I will tell you how!). The palette is $44 in stores and online. Currently on tarte.com, they have a promo code (GGD, enter when checking out) to get 15% off! They also have free shipping on orders of $40 and up. Now, if you want to do what I did, and just buy the palette, you are going to have to do some strategy work. If you add the palette to your cart, along with two eyeliner sharpeners (each $1), this will make your total just over $40 (with the 15% off). So, you get the palette and 2 eyeliner sharpeners for only $40 AND free shipping! Where as at the store, it cost $44 for the palette alone. That's what I call a deal!

The Palette...

This palette includes many products including:
-Lifted Eye Primer with Firmitol
-Full Size Double Ended Brush
-emphasEYES aqua- gel eyeliner in brown
-10 Amazonian Clay Eyeshadows

Colors- from left to right
first row (matte brown, matte taupe, matte olive green, shimmering bronze, matte deep teal)
second row (matte soft pink, shimmering soft peach, matte brown, matte plum, matte navy)

- One amazingly packaged palette!

I really do enjoy this palette. I do not think it is my favorite, but I do like it. I like how many products you receive with the palette, and I also love the versatility of the palette. As I said in my video, I wanted a neutral palette to use everyday, and I love how there are some darker colors to make the look a little more unique. The payoff on the colors is not the best, although it they do last for a long period of time. I love the eyeliner, it is soooo creamy and smooth, it just glides on. I also love the brush, and how it fits in the palette. The eye primer is nice, but nothing special. I would suggest this for someone who wants a versatile palette with both very neutral and dark colors. I do not suggest this for something who is looking for bright pops of color, because these are not. The dark colors apply more sheer then they look in the palette, but I like that about them. I think it is a really great deal for $40! I also think the dark colors are very unique, and I love applying them either in the outer corner, the crease, or using them as eyeliner. The packaging of the palette is what attracted me to it in the first place. It is amazing and so beautifully designed. I hope this helped, and I hope you guys enjoyed my review. Watch my video for the full review of the palette! If you have any specific questions on whether or not I will think you will like the palette (based on specific questions you have), please feel free to comment or message me through YouTube.  Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend!

Much Love.

Cutest Boutique in the World- Francesca's Collections

Francesca's Collections  is the best, in my opinion, "franchise" boutique, ever! This place is truly one of a kind, but it is accessible to many people because there are so many locations. Francesca's has been one of my favorite little shops for many years. They sell beautiful clothes, accessories, purses, shoes, and fun decorating things for your home. It is a one stop shop. Everything at Francesca's is very unique, and they only bring a couple items per style per size. This may sound frustrating, but it prevents "seeing yourself come and go". Meaning, you don't see five people in one day with the same necklace, ballet flats, or purse that you are also wearing. The prices are very reasonable, purses are about $50, dresses about $40, and watches around $20, but I always find deals! Tonight, I bought a really adorable short handle (with a long attachable strap inside), camel colored purse for only $29.95 (on sale). These are the pictures that I took of my bag, but my camera quality and angles do nothing for the shape of the bag!

My bag is much more simple than this one below, no zippers or tassels but I thought these pictures did a good job of showing you the shape of the bag. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the bag that I bought, but the bag from the website pictures is called Good as Golden. I could not find the exact purse on the website, but I wanted to give you an idea of what it looks like, because it is what inspired me to share this post with you tonight.

Good as Golden, bag from website

Bag using detachable shoulder strap (mine does the same)

They always have things on sale, whether it be shoes, jewelry or purses. If you want something unique, this is your go-to place. It may sound pricey, but everything is very good quality and so different, you won't mind paying the price. Go to their home page (I linked to it in the opening of the post), and in the upper, right hand corner click on Find a Boutique, to locate a Francesca's near you. This place is addictive, I seem to always want to check it out! You can also purchase things online if there is not a store near you.

I hope you enjoy it!

Much Love.

Beauty Blender

Hey all! I just posted a video for my review of the Beauty Blender sponge that I now use with my foundation. Beauty Blender Video. This is not the original Beauty Blender brand, I got mine from Ulta and I believe it is called the Super Blender (although I threw away the packaging) and it is not on the Ulta website. I found the sponge at Ulta in the sponge section, and it is only $4.99, which is much more reasonable compared to the REAL Beauty Blender found at sephora.com or beautyblender.net which runs for about $19.95. There is also a so a Sonia Kashuk brand that you can find at Target or target.com for $9.99. Although I have only used the Ulta sponge, I am pretty confident they all work relatively the same. I absolutely love it for applying both my foundation AND Bobbi Brown Cream Blush. It gives the most flawless finish because they are no edges to the sponge. I use mine dry, however, I know that it works amazing when it is slightly damp. The sponge allows you to get a thicker application in areas that need it the most, and a thinner application where you do not have as many problems, and THIS I love! I think this is the best product to apply a foundation with. When I use it with my Creme Blush, it gives the most flawless finish, and it really makes it look like you are blushing, instead of wearing blush, it is so natural. I can not give this product enough praise! It is a must try! Let me know your thoughts on it!

Much Love.
